This is an integral part of her daily program. It helps to build core muscle strength, it also helps her to improve co-ordination. Hand eye co-ordination is important to do this excercise successfully. Its important to manicure her hands if she starts getting hard skin. There’s some need for hard skin but not too much, if the skin becomes too hard then it can come off.

Always make sure you have good thick mats underneath in case of accidents.  To start this off, you must only practice hanging on the bar for 10 seconds per day. Then move up to 30 or a minute. After this you can attempt to do brachiation. It must be done slowly and each day is a success, even 10 seconds on the bar is a major feat for kids with dyspraxia.  Now she loves doing it, but at the beginning she couldn’t hold the bar for 10 seconds.
